Crime Report

Madison County is safer with Sheriff John Beeman.

Crime levels continue to drop in Madison County – the effect of competent, professional law enforcement keeping crime levels at bay under the Beeman administration. A ten-year history of all arrests in the county shows a two-year surge under the previous administration until 2020, followed by a post-Covid decline that continues to this day.

To make our streets safer, Sheriff Beeman has assigned a deputy to the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force with the responsibility of assisting with the arrest of serious violent felons with open warrants.

While incidents of violent crime and property crime continue to fall in Madison County, the Sheriff’s Department continues to combat the widespread availability of drugs on the streets.

Under Sheriff Beeman’s leadership, collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies to fight crime remains a critical task. Locally, to address urban crime and its peripheral effects on the rest of Madison County, Sheriff Beeman coordinates regularly with the Anderson Police Department.
